Koh-Parenting Services (KPS) is a social and economic empowerment organization that provides parenting partners with a pathway to healthy and effective co-parenting.
Our mission is to help parents, caregivers, and ex-partners achieve and sustain a healthy co-parenting relationship by first looking inward to improve themselves.
Our vision is to improve our communities by empowering co-parents to shift their view of healthy co-parenting, starting with self-first. Our practical tools and techniques teach co-parents to achieve and sustain a healthy co-parenting relationship.
We know that your co-parenting journey is unique to you. In everything we do, we endeavor to build your trust by developing a lifelong relationship, respecting your past and what you want to achieve, and supporting the entire family unit. Our clients will always have access to our team and material as a guide during their co-parenting journey.
We don’t shy away from the hard conversations. We keep an open and honest dialogue with our clients to break through obstacles keeping them stuck.
In everything we do, we respect where you’ve come from and where you’d like to go. We’ll guide you through the challenges that come along with making changes in your co-parenting, without any added judgment.
Although our niche is co-parenting, we value and support the entire family unit. We take pride in the positive impact our services has on all parties of the family (including children, co-parents, guardians, family members, even co-workers).
Hi there – I’m Detrice Batten
I am a successful co-parent myself – I’ve walked in your shoes. I fully understand the process of separating the relationship from the co-parenting relationship while putting the child first.
I am a certified parenting and co-parenting educator with over 7 years of experience across industries such as education, healthcare, individual and family services, and human resources. I spent a great amount of time leading projects in local communities that focused on youth advocacy, education, social skills, parent-child bonding activities, and mentorship for adolescents and adults. I also spent 10+ years in leadership roles at Procter & Gamble (P&G), and Berkshire Hathaway, where I partnered with the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education and family support programs.
I am certified in parenting education from the AJ Novick Group, Inc. AJ Novick Group has continuing education approvals from the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating, CEUs by NAADAC, The National Association of Addiction Professionals and Continuing Education Provider Board for Certification Addiction Specialists.
I specialize in co-parenting, teamwork and planning, building capability, single parenting, effective communication, social awareness, and empathy, enabling parents to become healthier co-parents while putting the child first.
